A nation crying out for hope

In Sierra Leone, more than half of the population lives in monetary poverty, and approximately 59% face multidimensional poverty, which implies deprivation in essential areas such as health, education and living conditions.

In addition, 25% of the population is in extreme poverty, and about 60% lack adequate access to food.

These figures reflect an alarming reality that requires immediate action.

Healing with Hope

Children: the most vulnerable and forgotten

In many regions of the world, children continue to bear the brunt of poverty, lack of access to health, education and protection. In places like Sierra Leone, this reality is even harsher.

Many of them face preventable diseases, malnutrition and living conditions that put their physical and emotional development at risk. They do not choose where they are born, but they do bear the consequences of a system that often leaves them on the margins.

In our daily work, we see faces full of hope despite adversity. Children who dream of learning, playing and growing up healthy. But without the right resources - medicine, food, access to clean water or simple medical care - those dreams become unattainable.

School health an urgent commitment

We currently provide health support to 45 schools in Sierra Leone, offering basic medical care, hygiene education and disease prevention. We work to detect and treat common conditions such as respiratory infections, intestinal parasites and cases of malnutrition.

However, the challenge remains enormous.

Many children still lack access to essential medical services. In many communities, health care is limited or non-existent, and we face a severe shortage of resources: medicines, first aid materials, hygiene products and trained personnel are lacking.

The infant mortality rate is approximately 75 per 1,000 live births.
Many children lack basic access to health care, vaccinations and essential medicines.

Our commitment is clear: no child should be left without care for lack of means. With more support, we can reach more schools and ensure that health is no longer a privilege but a right.

Education

An urgent challenge

In Sierra Leone, education remains a right that many children are still unable to fully exercise. Although access to primary school has improved in recent years, the quality of education, lack of resources and dropout rates remain huge obstacles.

Overcrowded classrooms, a shortage of trained teachers, insufficient materials and long distances to school are part of daily life for thousands of children. Many girls also drop out of school due to early pregnancy, domestic work or forced marriages.

In rural areas, the situation is even more critical: many children cannot read or write by the time they finish primary school. Without a solid educational foundation, their future becomes uncertain.

Only 581,000 children complete primary education.
The literacy rate among 15-24 year olds is below 50%, with even larger gaps between girls and boys.

But we also see hope.

Every time a child learns to read, every time a girl returns to class, we are one step closer to change. With your support, we can continue to provide books, uniforms, teacher training and safe spaces to learn.

You can help us in two ways

"You can donate whatever you wish and in this way, together with others, we will help more children to access education."

"With only 60 USD you can change a child's life: sponsor him/her for a year and give him/her everything he/she needs to study.

With only 60 USD a year you can change a life.a

A scholarship ANNUAL full cost only 60 per year. With that small gesture, a child in Sierra Leone will be able to attend school, receive materials, a uniform and the support he or she needs to learn with dignity.

Choose how you want to change a life:

It covers a full year of education, including uniform, backpack and supplies.

Give continuity to their education and stability for two years.

Accompany their journey through three years of growth and learning.

"Donate and write in the form how many years you would like to sponsor a child.

Your generosity today is a seed of hope. Thanks to your support, a child will have the opportunity to study, grow and dream of a better future.
